Helpful hint:
For perfectly hardboiled eggs every time, place the eggs into a small saucepan, cover with cold water and place over high heat. Bring to the boil and cook for one minute. Remove from the heat, cover, and let the saucepan stand for 13 minutes. Drain and place in cold water to cool before peeling.
